Under this scheme, New Industrial Units are provided exemption from paying Electricity Duty upto 5 years on Industrial Electricity Consumption from the date of commencement of production.
โข New Industrial Units will be eligible for exemption from Electricity Duty for industrial electricity consumption for 5 years from the date of commencement ofย ย ย ย production.
โข The Existing Industrial Units undergoing expansion will be eligible for exemption from Electricity Duty for industrial electricity consumption at the expansionย ย ย ย Unit for 5 years from the date of commencement of production.
โข The subsidy is in the form of exemption, therefore, the bill amount will be reduced.
โข Electricity Connection must be in the name of firm. However, for Proprietorship concern, the connection can be in the name of owner.
โข Subsidy application must be submitted within 90 days from the date of commencement of production or the delay period will be deducted from theย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย exemption period.
โข The expansion should be more than 50% of existing capital investment or more than Rs. 100 crore.ย
